Get in touch with nature - grow your own food E-mail

What better way to reconnect with the natural way of living than to look at the options of growing at least some of your own food. For many this is considerable daunting, but it just doesn't have to be this way. Even if you live in an apartment in a very tall building in the middle of a densely populated city, you can still set aside a little space, and a little time and grow a portion of your diet. Whether this be as simple as a tray of wheatgrass, or as complex as a composting system and tiered potting arrangement on your patio for a range of fresh herbs and salad greens, it is all very achievable. Where there is a will there will always be a way!!!!

This section of the website will hopefully eventually become a real resource centre for tips and tricks, handy links to where you can get some of the products we talk about, interesting projects and some personal experiences.

Part of the point of getting this website together is for us personally to walk the walk, and share our experience. We live in a medium sized city, on the fringes of the CBD. This is a fairly normal medium sized city as you would expect to find nearly anywhere in the western world. We have our green spaces, and our fair share of noise and pollution. We are within easy walking distance to everything we need and yet still have enough space on our 1000sq.m hillside property to think about swapping some unused portions of our land into productive gardens. The first project we are undertaking is to convert what was once a very small decorative garden into a kitchen garden, bursting with all of the fresh herbs we could ever use. This is an ongoing project so keep checking back here as we upload some photos of our progress and results.
